"Sig Fig" stands for "Signature Minifigure".

​At the Lego company, all higher up employees who work at the headquarters, the set designers, developers, project managers, etc- all have "Lego business cards" that are actually Lego Minifigures with thier name and contact email on thier backs!

The Minifigs are often given hat/hair or other accessories to make them resemble thier human counterpart. This is such a cute idea that many of the Lego fan community caught on and started creating custom minifigs meant to resemble ourselves!
