President: Kristie Evans
@EvansFamilyLegoProject
Hometown: Voorhees, New Jersey
My Name on Discord: EvansFamilyLegoProject
My Lego Social Media: www.Instagram.com/EvansFamilyLegoProject
My Lego Website: www.EvansFamilyLegoProject.com
I'm a hard working mom of 2 boys, Deaghlan (1) & Kaedin (12). I'm a retired police officer and now I run the Lego club, teach Lego classes and organize a holiday charity called Project Christmas NJ.

I live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a condition that causes severe chronic pain & constant joint dislocations as well as Crohn's Disease, and ADHD- Lego is a fantastic distraction and "better than therapy".

A Little Bit About Kristie:
  • My favorite discontinued Lego theme was Paradisa, the failed early 90's girls Paradise themed sets. I loved the mint green and pink and the tropical themed prints. I wish they would make more parts in those colors!
  • My favorite Lego element is the 1x1 square tile (in every color). I love making mosaics and wish I owned a million in every color!
  • My Lego "Holy Grail" is the big red Lego brick that stands about 4' tall in most Lego stores across the US. I want one of those giant display bricks in my home so badly it hurts. I'd spend just about anything to make that dream come true.
  • If Lego hired me as a consultant, three changes I'd make right away;
  1. I'd take more feedback from the adult Lego community, recognizing that their wants are valid and so important, including making far more parts available in large quantities through pick a brick, like having a ship-to-store option for full cases of parts. I'd absolutely make being able to buy parts in bulk, for a discount, a major focal point, encouraging builders to be able to better afford to build large impressive creations.
  2. I'd immediately start offering collectible items, like small sets, key chains, t-shirts, custom minifigs, etc. that would be unique to each Lego store or at least regional to certain areas, making there be an awesome incentive to visit MORE Lego stores because they don't all offer you exact same things. I'd make sure those items occasionally changed up, and I'd include LUGs in suggesting designs, minifigs that represent the local area, etc. For example, a Rocky Balboa fig sold in Philly. Broadway stars like Hamilton minifigs that you could only buy in NYC stores.
  3. I'd focus on getting feedback from builders about what new parts they would like to see designed, even holding a yearly contest to design your own part, and then actually creating that new part in 3-5 colors, maybe for a limited run, followed by a new part or parts the following year. Some parts may be incorporated into future sets, while others would only be available for a limited time ... But giving the community a opportunity to design thier own Lego parts would be HUGE and incentivize Lego builders who really want something that Lego doesn't already make.

I had to include a photo of my hubby and my two boys because they are my whole world. My husband is the rock that supports me through everything and my boys are my reason for getting up every day and putting one for in front of the other. <3

www.instagram.com/Fierce_County_Fire (My Business - Fierce County Fire)

Rich was one of the founding members behind SJLUG and was an active part in founding the club. He's been an active part of the Lego community for many years, participating in Lego shows and events.

He's also a long-time volunteer fire fighter, and a truck driver. He designs and sells custom Lego vehicles, starting years ago with Fire Trucks, and expanding his product line with many more types of vehicles. He's also a proud uncle to little PJ.

A Little Bit About Rich:
  • My holy grail set for a long time was the Ghost Busters Fire House, but I got it for Christmas in 2022 from my awesome girlfriend! Next, I want to work on getting the early modular buildings, including the Palace Cinema.
  • My favorite Lego piece is the flame - for obvious reasons!
  • I build all of my trucks and vehicles six studs wide. Even though they aren't minifig scale, I feel like it's the best size for making them feel really well proportioned and properly sized.

Secretary: Allyson Bell
Hometown: Egg Harbor City, NJ
My Name on Discord: Allyson Bell

Allyson is originally from Scotland, but now lives near the Jersey Shore (her accent still comes out strong when she's excited about something!). She works with animals at a grooming/boarding space and she loves dogs and has several of her own. She's an avid builder who's outgrown her space quickly! She's an active member of the LUG since 2021, and she's made several really artistic and unusual creations for shows, such as a four-sided island build and some really cool abstract artwork. Allyson has more ideas than space and is excited to get started this year on several projects she's been wanting to work on, including a holiday winter-village scene and a fairie garden build.

A Little Bit About Allyson:
  • I like Harry Potter, Ninjago, Star Wars, City, Ideas, Classic, Creator (Creator, Creator Expert, Creator 3 in 1) etc, etc.. safe to say I like any theme / set lol. I tend to get what takes my fancy.
  • I would say my favorite theme are the Winter Village Sets.
  • My all time favorite set I’ve build was Ninjago City (I love this set it’s just fantastic).
  • My holy grail set is the Star War's Ewok Village #10236.
  • I’m planning on getting back to working on my winter village. It’s currently in storage but will be pulled out soon so I can work on it. My hopes is that I will have it build by Christmas 2023 (heehee)
  • If money was no issue, I would build a large Lego city.
  • My future Lego goals are to work on my Mocs & to better organize my Lego.

Treasurer & Technical Director: Justin Evans
Hometown: Gibbsboro, NJ
My Name on Discord: rosinflux

Justin is our "tech guy". He's set the club up with great structures, including TV screens for slideshows at conventions, and ipads for people to sign up for our mailing lists and more info about the club. He's also installed and runs our Lego printer and engraver, and figures out lighting and motors for the club's big projects. Justin's an electrical engineer by trade and is a problem solver by nature.
A Little Bit About Justin:
  • The most recent sets I've gotten are the Ghost Buster's Ecto 1 and the Back to the Future Deloreon, the collector's edition large scale sets. I love the more complex builds.
  • My favorite thing to build is figuring out anything with lighting or motors.
  • My special skill is finding the best deal on Lego parts. I handle all the ordering for both my wife's projects and the LUG because I save us a small fortune!

  • I didn't have Lego as a kid - my first Lego set was the Jago boat.
  • If money and space was not limited, the first set I'd get is the Lego Titanic.
  • My favorite Lego theme are the Modular Buildings.
Picture
Liam Drumgoole - King of Prussia,PA

  • The set I REALLY want to add to my collection right now is "The Office".
  • If money, time and space weren't limited, I'd build as much of the Harry Potter world as I possibly could.
  • My favorite Lego themes are Harry Potter and the Classic Castle theme.
  • One set I REALLY want to add to my collection right now is "The Office" set because I'm a big fan of the show.

Liz Flynn - Mullica Hill, NJ - @Lfly2491

  • If I had $5,000 Lego shopping spree, but I had to buy sets from only one Lego theme - I would choose to shop from the new Lego Icons theme. I love the big, detailed sets, and with $5,000 to spend, I could actually afford them!!
  • My favorite Lego Minifigure is Hot Dog Guy!
  • I got into Lego when I was about 7. My first Lego was a bucket of mixed bricks.. I had a few Johnny Thunder sets, an Alien guy, a mix of Adventure and Space sets were my thing.
  • If money, time and space weren't limited, I'd probably build something life size and useful like a big desk with drawers. Or maybe a huge sculpture that I haven't thought of yet like a Sphinx.

Brian Goetz- Burlington, NJ
  • Brian's Mario themed custom apartment build got a ton of attention at Philly Brickfest when it debuted in our High Rise Apartment Building Collaborative Project. It was the first thing Brian ever built to display at a Lego show.
  • Brian helped to completely rebuild the Minecraft Coin Drop display for the LUG after it fell apart during the pack-up after the Brickfest show in Landover, Maryland - he rebuilt the entire thing in one afternoon!
  • Brian's favorite Lego themes are Lego Mario, Minecraft and Ninjago.
Picture
Teresa Goetz - Burlington, NJ
  • The first Lego build I ever made and displayed at a show was my Star Wars "Spot the Difference" game. It was a big hit at Brickfair in Chantilly, Virginia and hundreds of people stopped to try to find all the differences between my two nearly identical builds.
  • My favorite Lego theme is Lego Star Wars.
  • I just bought my very first set that wasn't for my kids!

  • My favorite lego theme is Superhero, but I also collect Star Wars and Harry Potter.
  • My favorite discontinued theme is Adventurers (Johnny Thunder).
  • My Daily Bugle moc is the build I'm most proud build of. It consists of 15000 pieces and sits at nearly 4 feet tall. That build won best Superhero build at Philly Brickfest 2022.
  • The first lego set I ever built was an arctic sailing set from 2000.
  • The lego set that was my most favorite experience was Assembly Square, which was the first ever build my wife and I did together.
  • Three things I would love to change about lego as a company is 1. More DC sets! (And not just Batman!) 2. Make more sets under $50, to keep lego more accessible to kids. And 3. Bring back old themes with one set every now and then.

  • I don't like Lego Minifigures! The sets I enjoy collecting and displaying came out before Lego Minifigures were even a thing and I don't prefer to include them in my builds.(Kristie MADE me choose one to represent me here on the website!)
  • I collected thousands of old, used, worn and discolored white Lego bricks and built them into my Lego Roundhouse Train display, giving the building a really unique look by taking advantage of all the different tones and colors of the old white bricks that had changed colors due to time, sun and abuse!
  • The build I'm most proud of is the replica of the Roundhouse that my father built in Pennsylvania when I was young. I recently built a Lego version that looks just like the real thing!

Meena Manilal - Lafayette Hills, PA

  • I got into Lego as an adult through my kids. I tried out Lego as an activity that we could all do together and even though my kids never really took to Lego, I completely fell in love with the hobby and took it over as MY thing!

Kate Meers - New Brunswick, NJ (I'm originally from Michigan!) - @kayteerkm
  • The only thing I can really call a "Work in Progress"right now is technically in storage. It's a near full size version of the TARDIS from Dr. Who. It's about half way done and used over 20,000 pieces so far.
  • It's REALLY hard to choose a favorite Lego theme, but if I was forced, I'd probably choose Architecture as my favorite although I really love the Modular Buildings and many of the Lego Ideas sets as well.
  • I never really "got back into Lego as an adult" because I never really got OUT of Lego. I suppose I slowed at a point, there was a break for a few years, but after a friend had shared a post about adult Lego groups, I realized the relaxing side of Lego, so I started figuring out how I could afford some sort of collection again.
  • My favorite ever Lego set was the Dr. Who Ideas Lego set because Dr. Who is my favorite TV show.
  • If space, time and money were no longer a limitation, I'd build the Colosseum, the new Lighthouse and the Titanic. There are SO many huge sets I would build!
  • I like to sort Lego as long as my cat doesn't get in the way! I like to organize. There's a real sense of accomplishment and order to it!
  • I wanted to join a LUG to be part of a community. I've been kind of alone and I felt a group like this would provide what I was lacking.
  • Besides Lego, my hobbies include Graphic Design. Mostly I just design DVD covers, but I do some other things from time to time as well.
  • Lego has improved my life by allowing me to have some fun in a very stressful life.
  • If I became the CEO of Lego for a day and I could turn ONE Lego ideas set into a REAL set... there's absolutely no way I could choose just one. Instead, I'll give you my top 4;
  • .

  • In "real life" I'm a bridge inspector and land surveyor working in Pennsylvania.
  • My favorite discontinued Lego theme is Rock Raiders! I had the video game on PC and I really enjoyed the game and the sets by extension.
  • My favorite set currently being sold is the Starry Night Lego Ideas set (21333). It was REALLY fun to build and makes a great display piece to hang on your wall.
  • My favorite set Lego has ever made would be the UCS Death Star II (#10143) because it was HUGE, imposing, and a blast to put together and admire.
  • I got back into Lego as an adult as I was cleaning out my parent's attic when I found tons of my old Lego sitting in pieces gathering dust. I cleaned it all up andre-assembled everything and fell in love with it all over again!
  • My favorite Lego Minifigure is the Light Up Mace Windu (sw01333) - he was the only minifigure I owned that lit up. so it was very unique and holds a special place in my heart.
  • If space, time and money were not limited, I would LOVE to collect/build full sets from the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Rock Raiders, and the Pirates of the Caribbean for a combination of admiration of the sets and nostalgia. I would DEFINATELY need more room though first!
  • I actually like sorting Lego! Because I naturally like organizing / tidying up, I enjoy sorting Lego a lot.
  • I wanted to join a LUG to find a group of like-minded people with whom to share my hobby with, plus its a great way to meet a lot of new and interesting people!

  • My favorite Lego theme is Minecraft!
  • If I could get any one Lego set to add to my collection - it would be the HUGE UCS Millennium Falcon with over 7,000 pieces.
  • The first build I ever made and displayed at a Lego Show was my multicolored Dragon named Jeff that I took to Philly Brickfest 2023.
  • If I won a Lego shopping spree, but I could only buy ONE theme, I would absolutely buy all the Minecraft Lego sets that exist.
  • My favorite Lego color is "Bright Light Green" (the color of Minecraft Turtles!)
Picture
Jason Goetz - Burlington, NJ (16)
  • My favorite Lego theme is Star Wars!

Kaedin Evans - Voorhees, NJ - @KaedinLegoDude (12)
  • My favorite Lego theme is Minecraft! (DUH!) You can see my Minecraft World Record attempt at #EFLPmcw searching on Instagram.
  • If I could have any one Lego set for free- I'd pick the Titanic, and I'd build a giant Iceburg to display with it.
  • If I could create my own Lego set - I would create a set that's similar to the Nintendo TV set build, it would be a playable version of FlappyBird!
  • My favorite Lego Minifigure is Steve. He's the first Minecraft figure that ever walked the face of Minecraft and he's just classic.
  • #If I could turn any Lego board game or video game into a Lego set, I'd choose Super Mario World.
  • The coolest thing I've ever seen made from Lego was the World's Largest Lego Tower, that I saw on Youtube.
  • My favorite Lego Color is.... classic RED.
  • My coolest Lego achievement was earning a gold "Million Views" brick from Beyond the Brick because my three interviews with them collectively have almost 13 million views on Youtube. I've even been recognized in public and had kids ask for my autograph on vacation!
